The Tencent AI Assistant is an AI chatbot App launched in June 2024. I joined the creative design team as a product designer in May 2024, contributing to both the 0.5-1 and 1-N phases. Our goal was to iterate quickly and gather as many insights as possible. My main focus was on exploring and enhancing the potential of chatbot responses.
AI Writing
The AI Writing project was the longest and largest-scale project I worked on during my internship. In the design process, our goal was to cater to a diverse range of writing needs while ensuring that the generated content maintained a certain level of controllability.
For longer formats like essays or reports, we include an outline generation step before producing the final content. This allows users to review and adjust the structure if needed, enhancing content controllability. For shorter formats, such as emails or social media captions, this step is omitted for efficiency.
The editor opens when users click the “Create” button, offering writing shortcuts to help them polish and edit their articles efficiently.
We also delivered a simplified mobile version of AI writing feature.
Map Feature
We collaborated with various data providers to integrate up-to-date information into our system. As part of this effort, I worked with the Tencent Map App to incorporate map data into responses. By identifying and categorizing user questioning scenarios, we crafted a diverse set of map response cards to suit different contexts seamlessly.
I worked on several other projects during my intern, including optimizing user experiences in offline or weak network scenarios and designing voice call features. Feel free to contact me for more details!
